This Friday, The Doc Ruins Ballet - December's Sesh: The Nutcracker

Join Northampton's own cabaret life drawing club for our send-off to 2010 on Friday, Dec. 3rd at the Elevens on Pleasant St. starting at 7:30 pm. Featuring two beautiful new models ravaging the good reputation of classic ballet's The Nutcracker, music, contests with all new prizes, and your favorite jazz juice. And don't forget, there's a dance party afterwards, so bring your friends! Artists and doodlers alike are welcome; bring art-making accoutrements (pencils/pens/paper/contained watercolor sets - and a booklight is strongly suggested)and an ID. 21+/$7 (door cover goes to our sexy,hardworking models and helps fund the next event!). Drawing, Drinking, Dames, and debauchery abound...get out of the cold and cozy up to the good Doctor Sketch this Friday!

On Friday, November 5th Dr. Sketchy’s Noho is back with our take on Dia de Los Muertos, the Mexican Day of the Dead. Two drop-dead foxy models, awesome costumes, makeup, and hair, great music spun by our dj, and even more fabulous new prizes to enjoy while sipping your favorite brew and getting your art on! Be sure to bring your friends, IDs (21+, folks), $7 and something to draw with to the Elevens on Pleasant St. in Northampton, MA from 7:30-9:30.

Sensuality shop (and hair by Chameleons Salon), and of course, plenty of drinks to get your artsy-fartsy weekend started. This Friday's event, Aug. 6th at the Elevens from 7:30-9:30pm. 21+/$7.

A LOCAL CHAPTER OF DR. SKETCHY'S ANTI-ART SCHOOL, led by muah with more than a little help from my friends. Much more info to come VERY SOON, for now - a crappy iphone picture preview of the first poster in progress (no venue or date set yet).

Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School is a cabaret-inspired monthly figure drawing class, with over 100 chapters across the country and around the world; my local chapter here is simply the newest! (I literally got the license for it today) Figure drawing sessions take place usually in a bar, club, or cafe, with unique folks as models such as burlesque performers, drag kings and queens, performance artists, circus and dance performers, you name it. Dames, drinks and drawing is the mission, and it's some of the most fun I've ever had (visiting the Allston, MA branch) and it will be amazing here in Northampton, where the community is just begging for something like this. I hope to hold the first session in late March or early April, and will post photos from each class as well as info about upcoming events, products, shows, and other great stuff. Please join us of you are over 18 and in the area, the venue and date for the very first event will be up ASAP! Artists both amateur, professional, and simply curious are welcome!
