Join us at the very 1st session of Dr. Sketchy's Northampton!!!

We're proud to announce the 1st session of Dr. Sketchy's here in the Pioneer Valley on FRIDAY, JUNE 4TH, FROM 7-9 pm AT THE ELEVENS (140 Pleasant St., Northampton, MA). This event is 21+, $8 cover. Future sessions will be held on the first Friday of every month; same time, same place. Bring a sketchbook/paper and something to draw with, and of course your friends!

Theme and models to be announced in the next couple of weeks, and look for our hand-drawn flyers around town very soon! If you're interested in helping out with Dr. Sketchy's Noha - modeling, costume/hair/makeup, promotions, sponsorship, music/performance, etc., contact Aster at drsketchynoha@gmail.com. A LOCAL CHAPTER OF DR. SKETCHY'S ANTI-ART SCHOOL, led by muah with more than a little help from my friends. Much more info to come VERY SOON, for now - a crappy iphone picture preview of the first poster in progress (no venue or date set yet).

Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School is a cabaret-inspired monthly figure drawing class, with over 100 chapters across the country and around the world; my local chapter here is simply the newest! (I literally got the license for it today) Figure drawing sessions take place usually in a bar, club, or cafe, with unique folks as models such as burlesque performers, drag kings and queens, performance artists, circus and dance performers, you name it. Dames, drinks and drawing is the mission, and it's some of the most fun I've ever had (visiting the Allston, MA branch) and it will be amazing here in Northampton, where the community is just begging for something like this. I hope to hold the first session in late March or early April, and will post photos from each class as well as info about upcoming events, products, shows, and other great stuff. Please join us of you are over 18 and in the area, the venue and date for the very first event will be up ASAP! Artists both amateur, professional, and simply curious are welcome!
